The successor to Meta Quest 2, Project Cambria, will be the centerpiece of the meta-universe strategy.
Meta today revealed the date of ‘Meta Connect’- Meta’s upcoming event to announce its latest advancements in VR and AR. The platform announced that the event will be held virtually, and will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT on Oct. 11, 2022. Users will be able to watch the live broadcast on Reality Labs’ Facebook page.
In a Facebook post, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the date of the event, wearing virtual reality headphones at the launch of a highly anticipated virtual reality headset called ‘Project Cambria. The event is also expected to reveal Metaverse updates and the next era of social computing.

Over the past few months, Meta has announced updates to its social VR platform, Horizon Worlds, including creator payments, price increases for existing VR headset models and the opening of a physical store to showcase gadgets.
